RDCK Wastes public money on Solar Part 2
GRANT ELIGIBILITY SCAM
Like every solar project grant application I have seen, a fantasy created to meet the
eligibility. Or in the case of the Nelson solar garden if you have read my previous(recommended before reading any of this) info, unethical engineers report designed to provide a business case. Presented to
Nelson city council by their expert, Alex Love, manager of Nelson hydro. The biggest piece
of engineering garbage I have seen yet regarding a solar project. Accountability - none.
Everything I have posted is old news, I have presented all of this to the previous mayor and council
present mayor and council, RDCK directors more than once or several times to director Faust and Newell.
Nothing changed!
This is just another kick at the can, now that I see this new facebook page for ratepayers, letting you know what happens to your money. Can you get accountability?
Dandelion Renewables kind of shorted you on the Balfour solar equipment, notice the flat top
because the equipment saturates and cannot make use of all the power. Plus they exaggerated
annual power(income), told you what you wanted to hear, and got the bid.
This is a system making full use of all the power, it adds up over time

Balfour just got screwed by salesmen, Nelson got screwed by Engineers

Balfour Solar Systems grant application eligibility stated the project must provide a positive
economic return!!!!!!!! Nelson had engineers provide a business case, Balfour just had

I had spoken on more than one occasion to director Faust personally knowing they were pursuing
solar power to let me go over any bids, I was telling her solar would be wasting public money.
Next I saw it in the newpaper, systems were installed. I emailed director Faust telling her how
disappointed I was she never contacted me. Her email reply "we did our homework".
They retained the Pembina Institute, director Dave Lovekin. A masters degree in greenyism of some sort.
He was one of the speakers at the Oso Coffee house Nelson solar garden promo.
Its in the minutes, he stated half our power here comes from coal.
Curiously, non of the negative comments at that public meeting, mine or others appear in the
minutes, these are still on the city website.
The Pembina Institute as written by others
-a gaggle of green gerbils all sucking your $$$$$
-part of the eco-whacky non government organizations like the Sierra Club, WWF, Suzuki etc.
-continuing outrageous claims that ending fossil fuels will create hundreds of thousands of green jobs
Time to stop the insanity.
Two Alberta solar companies bid, no BC company came forward. Pembina is headquartered in Alberta.

In the RDCK info they say:
the details of how each company performed the calculation is unknown. It is suspected the calculations are not similar and may or may not include levelized operation and maintenance costs.
Hello??? due diligence was practiced here? They are different because one lies more than the other!

The Pembina report, lots of BS in there you the general public will never know.
They claim only 50% of our power here is hydro.
Dandelion Renewables the successful bidder exaggerated and got the bid.
Skyfire Energy was closer to the truth and were the unsuccessful bidder.
Once again, just like the Nelson Community solar garden engineer, they exaggerated
annual solar power among other things even though there are years of publicly available
on line solar systems with real data, except for Balfour(more on that later)

The past mayor once suggested I was picking on Nelson? Although at the end of her term
she did say regarding the solar garden "well its there now". So where is the accountability
to the highest paid city employee, manager of hydro who provided the phony business case
to council? Disrespecting his professional ethics, the mayor, council, taxpayers and Nelson
hydro customers? And of Course the CAO, captain of the ship and the ultimate responsibility.
Thats the problem with government, no accountability. Any real business accountable to
shareholders with a board of directors would never be presented phony information.

and Nelson Hydro are connected in further scamming taxpayers.
